Lead Design Engineer (Team Leader)

Our client is a market leading manufacturer, producing a range of equipment for the commercial and domestics markets through an established network of distributors. UK turnover of this rapidly expanding niche employer is currently in excess of £10m. 


Key Responsibilities:



• As the Lead Design Engineer you will manage a team through the manufacturing and design lifecycle. 


• This is an exciting and creative period for the company with an emphasis on new product development. Therefore it is essential that the successful candidate has experience of taking a project from concept to manufacture. 


• Environmentally focused means that future development of their green policy is imperative for all new product design in which the successful candidate will have significant input. 



Key Requirements:



• You should posses sound Mechanical Design experience. 


• 3D CAD experience is also essential and knowledge of Solidworks would be an advantage. 


• Experience of injection moulding design and sealing technologies experience is pivotal to this role. 


• You will need to understand hydraulic design and ideally posses some experience of electric motors, AC induction motors, commutator motors and DC brushless motors. 


This opportunity would ideally suit an individual who is ambitious, has a passion for design and new product development combined with a flair for innovation and creativity. This is a hands on role that allows you to get into the detail plus the ability to realise concepts through to finished manufactured products.
