Logistics Change - Programme Manager

Our client is a large and diverse FMCG distributor with an outstanding reputation for growth and customer service. They are entering into an exciting and highly positive change programme; within it there will be a major focus on their complex end-to-end supply chain. As part of this, they have created a highly strategically focussed appointment to implement best practice and a long-term operational excellence strategy.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, the job-holder will manage a small team of experts within the supply chain group and manage major projects of process change across the organisation. The team will lead the development of cost-saving initiatives & revenue enhancement opportunities and design, plan and implement lean supply chain initiatives across the distribution network, transport and stock control functions.

The successful candidate will be degree educated and ideally possess (or looking to achieve) an MSc in Logistics (or similar) and demonstrate a highly progressive career. A proven leader with excellent people skills, you will possess middle management level logistics or distribution experience coupled with significant project management experience of large scale logistics projects and exposure to broader supply chain management issues. You will demonstrate a proven track record of implementing change and strategic network design. You will have developed your career within fast moving / high service level orientated environments and you will possess the drive and ambition to progress your career to a board level appointment.

The appointments will have a national remit, however we require candidate to be based or relocate to the South of England; relocation allowance is available if applicable.
