Having progressed rapidly to become a market leader in their niche categories over the last ten years, this is an excellent opportunity for a proven procurement professional with broad business acumen to join a dynamic medium sized retailer with an expanding e-retail offering.

This newly created appointment will take on a remit to transform the function into a model which focuses on best practice initiatives within a cost efficient, responsive and customer centric model. Reporting to the Managing Director, the job-holder will focus on driving best-practice change and providing leadership to a team of buyers, merchandisers and a small in-bound telesales team. The job-holder will manage a change programme which will focus on implementing demanding KPIs, a 'Right First Time' culture and new systems.

To be considered you will possess a high degree of business acumen and business change delivery. You will demonstrate a proven procurement background with experience of buying / sourcing from low cost countries (ideally including the Far East) gained from any fast-moving, dynamic environment. Experience of retail, mail-order or e-retailing buying is advantageous, but not essential. You will have experience of managing teams of people and have the potential to take on a key leadership appointment, coupled with a high level of self-motivation and drive.
