Safety Engineer - Oil Company

Leading European Oil Company urgently seek a highly motivated safety engineer to join their offshore technology department. This company have and continue to grow rapidly and as a result of this the company are establishing a new safety department. The company are currently in the process of hiring the entire team and as part of this search the company seek a motivated individual that can grow in stature as the position requires.

Successful candidates will join the team as a safety engineer and provide support on technical safety engineering across different different operating assets, engineering disciplines and projects. Candidates will need to be a dynamic individual as the role will constantly develop throughout the first year as the Director develops the department and established the core processes and controls that will define team.

Ideal candidates will be degree educated and have some experience working in the oil industry for either an oil company or oil services firm within the safety arena. They will ideally have some experience in process safety and technical safety engineering and have some exposure to HAZOP's, HAZID's, SIL's and PSSR's.
