Part of Europes largest Educational Publishing Company, my client has the objective of bringing learning to life for students and teachers worldwide by producing the best blended learning resources on the market. With an exclusive relationship with the UKs largest examining body, workforce has grown by 15% in only 2 years.

With this phenomenal growth and success, they are now looking for a talented publishing professional to lead the Humanities and Social Science publishing and development team. You will take full responsibility for the strategic planning and development of your portfolio. You will manage and motivate Commissioning Editors and Development Editors, providing clear decision making, prioritisation and leadership, and ensure projects are published on time and to budget.

Working closely with the strategic partners, customers and in-house development teams, you will drive the application of the company strategy to your portfolio and projects and deliver compelling learning resources for the UK schools market.

Youre likely to have a sound track record of commercially successful publishing, including commissioning, preferably for the schools market. You should also be able to demonstrate a track record of people management, commercial acumen, author and/or supplier management, list development, planning and problem solving.
