Exploration Geophysicist

Rapidly emerging European E&P company urgently seeks a motivated senior exploration geophysicist to join their growing team. This company have received significant backing from their parent company and are looking to become one of the most active companies across Europe over the next 10 years. The company have an ambitious plan in place and have already acquired circa 50 licences on the NCS with more targeted in through farm-ins and acquisitions.
With this growth the company now seek a skilled senior geophysicist to work on their exploration projects providing geophysical insight to the company's exploration ventures.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Develop ideas and visions to support these by data and facts and implement them in the regional geological understanding of an area


• Perform seismic interpretation, delineate and estimate resources in prospects and leads in open- and licensed acreage


• Prepare round applications to acquire new exploration acreage


• Mature prospects to drilling targets


• Assess risk and uncertainty


• Plan, follow-up and report exploration wells


• Contribute in the evaluation of discoveries


• Update the regional geological understanding according to the well results

Ideal candidates will have demonstrable experience working in the exploration department of a company active on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. They should have good seismic interpretation skills and be proficient in prospect generation.
