An experienced Lead Design Engineer/ Design Engineering Manager is sought to lead a small but able team in a hands on design and project management capacity.

You should have a solid understanding of plastics, injection moulding, the basics of tool making and ideally other materials, ideally brass.

The ability to Design in 3D, CAM (Solid works preferred, solid edge useful) and an understanding of the principles of electronic concepts are required.

A degree from a credible university will support the communications and commercial skills which ensure that you can lead your team in an effective way plus liaise with and manage relevant external supplies and agencies where appropriate.

My client is a specialist, global materials manufacturer who is experiencing a period of growth. They are in the process of putting together a new, highly talented leadership team and now seek a Group IT Support Manager to assist this team moving forward.

The Role
As the Group IT Support Manager you will work within the corporate HQ supporting the 40 user leadership team and providing server support to a further 1400 users across 22 global sites.

All back office systems have been implemented and are under warranty; however there is still room for improvements and new developments. You will also be tasked with managing a front end technician who builds and configures head office PCs and Laptops.

Knowledge around the following systems would be beneficial; MPLS (managing outsourced agreement), Cisco Call Manager, VPN (Mobile Express or Aventail) and Lotus Notes.

The Candidate
The successful candidate will be a confident, pro-active and professional individual who has experience in communicating with very high calibre and demanding people. Knowledge of ITIL, ISO or equivalent best practice would be desired and a degree from a relevant engineering or computing discipline would be beneficial.

Due to expansion they are seeking to appoint an accomplished and highly strategic Product Manager. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable B2B Product Management experience; have worked in pan European, Asia Pacific or North American markets, managing a portfolio of products and propositions profitably. You will have experience of identifying business opportunities in existing and new markets, with the ability to handle the full product lifecycle. This will include creating product road maps and liaising internally with appropriate departments in order to input and define new product requirements, influencing stock levels, pricing policy and providing support to the sales team.

You will be educated to Degree standard which ideally includes a second tier qualification such as a Masters. European language skills especially German, Spanish or French are highly desirable. A background in ideally a technology or wireless based solution into the appropriate sectors will be advantageous but other products with a B2B route to into similar markets will be considered. Due to the international focus of this role a willingness to travel, both within the UK and abroad, is essential.

The Role
As the Group IT Support Manager you will work within the group head office supporting all IT services, ensuring they will be delivered in a professional manner in accordance industry standards and best practice methodologies.

With experience in back end server support, you will also manage a technician and help to support the building of in office computers and laptops, as well as managing ad hoc requests from the leadership team.

The Candidate
