Our client is a leading management consultancy organisation providing an integrated out-sourced solution in the areas of Lean Engineering, Engineering Capital and Project management to the UK food and drink manufacturing sector. In order to meet client demand the business now seeks to hire a number of highly experienced Project Engineering Managers and Project Engineers.

The Roles

The roles will require extensive travel and will also require periods of working away from home given the nature, scale and demands from the client base. From feasibility stages all the way through the project life cycle through to commissioning and effective sign off and hand over to site you will be an integral part of ensuring that the project is delivered on time in full and meets the expectations of the clients. The scale and types of projects will encompass but not limited to the areas of effluent, power and power generation, steam generation, site fabrication, site services, new line installation, line re-orientation and PLC systems development. The roles will require the ability to influence, effectively delegate and mobilise in-house resource in a manner that is all encompassing

Experience

The ideal candidates will be rounded Engineering Project Managers with a completer finisher mentality. We are looking for individuals ideally of chartered engineering status or equivalent with a demonstrable track record of delivering multiple engineering projects within an FMCG food and drink arena, on time and to budget. Financially astute, with excellent communication and people management skills, a genuine attention to detail and an ability to work autonomously or as part of a larger team are all key characteristics and essential for these roles. In addition we are looking for innovation and creativity and an inherent ability to think outside the box and see the bigger picture. Given the nature of these roles the ideal candidates will be balanced engineers with a solid appreciation of both electrical and mechanical engineering under-pinned with excellent project management skills

My client is an internationally established Manufacturing group which produces a range of Innovative Materials which are sold into the Mining sector, the customer base includes both Mining organisations and also suppliers into the sector.

The market opportunities for this range of materials is recognised by most people as potentially about to significantly expand in the next twenty years or so this should see mass-conversion as the technical case becomes increasingly compelling.

Pivotal to the strategy created to take advantage of this potential opportunity will be the hire of a high calibre manager to take P&L responsibility for this area of sales. You will be responsible for not only existing products into existing clients, but also a range of new innovative products to both existing and new customers.

You will have a dedicated team, made up of a Sales and Product Managers plus access via a matrix structure to other sales professionals based in various International locations.

In addition to Business Development, Team Management and P/L responsibilities for a range of Global Accounts you will also be involved in Product, Pricing and Marketing Strategy.

The role will be based in Germany so you will ideally be fluent in German but willing to travel on a regular basis to establishing and emerging markets which relate to the Mining sector.

My client is undertaking a step change in terms of growth with improvements focussed on quality, manufacturing and commercial enhancement. The challenge is to rapidly grow a business which already turns over almost half a billion pounds, manufactures on several countries and sells into approximately 70 countries.

The business has exceptional leadership, a very clear strategy and complete shareholder support.

Several new roles have been created to strengthen the central team, who are leading the tactical and strategic delivery of the growth plan. As a result they now require a Senior Group Business Process Manager to strengthen the Business Process Improvement team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the hands on delivery, as well as project, programme and team management.

A candidate who has previously been a Consultant could quite easily be equipped for this role. Alternatively you could be an individual who has worked inside a high calibre international organisation, with experience of designing and configuring business processes, which under pin business applications.

You will be an excellent communicator, with an ability to engage at an executive level and manage the multi-disciplined BPi team which covers Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance and Distribution. You will also have the ability to build relationships at all levels within a highly matrix structure.

It is likely that you will have either a Business or IT related degree. An MBA would also be advantageous, and you will have the drive and motivation that is associated with high calibre individuals who are committed to career development.
