My client is the Innovations division of a well established supplier of materials which are used in numerous market sectors. They currently sell into 70 different countries and operate sales, distribution and manufacturing in approximately 20 spanning Europe, Asia, Africa, North and South America.
This specific role will be highly challenging, interesting and rewarding for the appointed individual.
You will need a combination of skills and attributes to prove to this highly talented team that you are the one who should join them. This will include
- A strong education, with a degree in a relevant subject such as Chemistry, Physics, Metallurgy, Materials Science or similar.
- A second tier qualification such as an MBA or Masters would be highly attractive.
- Ideally your commercial skills will have been rounded as a result of previously working for a high calibre mentor or business. This experience will have exposed you to a concept solution environment where your general Materials/Science background will have enabled you to hold your own both technically and commercially.
The role will include engaging with a range of businesses from large, blue chip organisations to specialist innovative businesses looking to establish potential next generation materials solutions.
The role will require a balance between the required commercial skills (circa 60%) and technical skills (40%).
If you have this attractive blend which provides you with the ability to engage with Scientists, Engineers and New Product Developers regarding solutions, plus you have the commercial skills required to join the dots and create business solutions this could be the role for you. The business solutions required could be tailored to best meet the individual circumstances and extend beyond the usual supplier arrangements to incorporate Joint Venture Companies and formal strategic alliances.
