Main activities:

  • Handling, assessing, coding, evaluation and validation of individual case safety reports, incl Authority Reporting

  • Support in reviewing the safety-related sections of clinical trial documents

  • Support in preparation of Periodic Safety Update Reports and other reports on benefit/risk statements

  • Writing, updating and maintaining SOPs and supporting documents relating to Crucell's global Pharmacovigilance processes

  • Pharmacovigilance training of company personal

  • Interaction with the local Pharmacovigilance Respopnsibles in Crucell's Group Companies

  • Resolving safety issues pertaining to medical queries in clinical trials

  • Trading safety-related medical questions

  • Support in preparing, maintaining and updating safety data exchange agreements with external partners

  • Maintenance of the pharmacovigilance-literature database

Key responsibilities:

  • Assurance of the quality of the global pharmacovigilance processes

  • Medical review and validation of individual case safety reports and safety reports from clinical trials

  • Writing of case narratives and pharmacovigilance comments of the individual case safety reports and safety reports from clinical trials

  • Writing of Periodic Safety Update Reports and other benefit/risk evaluations and statements

  • Safety-related medical questions

Requirements:

  • University degree preferrably in Medicine, Pharmaceutical Sciences or Pharmacology

  • Over 5 years of significant experience in pharmacovigilance, preferrably on a global level

  • Profound knowledge and understanding of immunology as well as of clinical development

  • Profound understanding of the regulatory framework, knowledge of pharmacovigilance regulations and methodology

  • Profound knowledge and understanding of process-driven activities

  • Experience in managing compliance with internal SOPs, Working Procedures, and extrenal regulations

  • Good command of English and preferrably German (any additional language would be a plus)

  • Scientific rigor in analysing and interpreting data

  • Ability to interact with health care professionals, investigators and patients

  • Ability to work in a small team in a global environment, to work goal-oriented and to multi-task

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Job Description:

Objectives of the Position
  • Design, manage and execute PDG projects

Define overall project strategy.
Agree strategies for (Pre) Clinical, Manufacturing and Regulatory ffairs with line management.
Negotiate and agree milestones & deliverables with line management in particular Regulatory Affairs,
  • Clinical & Medical Affairs and Process Development

Design, planning, budgeting and execution of development plan.
Act as the key liaison with partners in co-development programs.
Supervision of operational project team meetings.
Support Regulatory Affairs in the generation of documentation for regulatory filing.
Program reporting to management.
Keep up to date with knowledge relevant to the project(s), become the product specific champion within the company.

Requirements:

  • PhD or equivalent level

  • Experience in relevant pharmaceutical and/or biotech company environment

  • Experience with late phase product development and GMP manufacturing.

  • Proven success in handling projects

  • Excellent organisation, communication and problem solving abilities

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to lead a clinical project team

  • Fluency in English

Job Purpose

  • The consolidation of European commercial strategy for the current and future product portfolio. Effective integration of this position into the priorities and focus of the 3 key Global functions: R&D, Commercial Strategy and Access and External Affairs as well as the European markets.

  • Operational excellence, ensuring best commercial practice across all European markets to optimize the performance of the current and future portfolio.

  • The proactive identification of innovative European partnership and business ventures which will enhance the reputation and business position of the company in Europe and Globally.

  • The European interface with the Shareholder companies ensuring first class delivery of Commercial Service level Agreements (SLAs) across Europe.


Area of Responsibilities

  • Strong strategic and operational insight and direction to the Head of Europe on matters of current and future portfolio and senior external and internal stakeholders.

  • Primary European commercial contact for 3 key Global Functions (R&D, Commercial Strategy, Access and External affairs).

  • Active member of the European Healthcare Management team. Support to the Country Heads in business to manage a complex and diverse portfolio to deliver £500m+ sales in Europe.

  • Lead the Matrix teams responsible for the consolidation of European brand position and undertake priority global projects

  • Develop a rolling annual strategic and operational plan for each asset and the portfolio; setting a clear strategic direction to the European team and the 3 key Global functions. In particular to re-position Kivexa and Selzentry for growth and maximize the lifecycle value of the portfolio. Provide a focus for innovation in Europe.

  • Ensure the delivery of Commercial SLAs by the Shareholder companies in Europe.

  • Ensure the strategic and operational focus is aligned to deliver the Europe P&L to agreed targets and sales of £500m+.


Requirements:

  • Degree level in life sciences or business, or equivalent plus MBA or PhD in Life Sciences.

  • Extensive Commercial and Business Unit Leadership some gained in a specialist hospital environment.

  • Track record of successful leadership proven ability to set clear long-term vision and direction.

  • Track record of opportunity identification and performance delivery.

  • Strong influencing and senior stakeholder management (internal and external) and dealing with organizational complexity.

  • Customer focus, highly credible and influential with senior External Customers.

  • Fluency in English

Job Description:

  • Report to and support Senior Director Gov. Affairs & Public Health in activities related to International stakeholders & associations, such as IFPMA, WHO, GAVI, Gates Foundation, EU / EVM and others, take responsibility for selected task forces, working groups and projects

  • Take responsibility for representing Crucell at the European policy Fora, i.e. EVM etc.

  • Support lobbying activities and tender preparation with appropriate medical, technical and policy information

- documents, summaries and review papers
  • Develop policy champions at the international, regional and national MOH levels, liaise with Crucell affiliates, representatives and countries to provide support in relevant portfolio areas

  • In liason with R&D, Clinical Research and Medical Affairs, develop and influence public health-related messaging, policy and position papers for Crucell activities and products

  • Where appropriate, provide input into Crucell product lifecycle and business strategy, based on the analysis of public health, medical needs and global policy directions

  • Prepare and deliver medical / public health-related presentations on behalf of Crucell or industry associations, where required

  • In collaboration with Medical & Marketing, build and maintain relationships with the relevant KOLs, represent the company at international conferences and congresses and diffuse targeted information internally

  • Drive and ensure internal coordination, communication and regular reporting of Government Affairs activities

  • Collaborate with medical information function of Crucell and perform an independent review and analysis of public health data from numerous sources in support of external and internal customers of International Sales & Marketing


Requirements:

  • Preferably MD / PhD

  • Proven working experience in a medico-marketing, pulbic health policy or related position in vaccines, pharmaceuticals or biologicals

  • Proven success in handling projects

  • Excellent organisation, communication and problem solving abilities

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Fluency in English, other languages are an asset (e.g. German, Spanish, French)
