Site Technical Manager
Our client is a market leading branded food manufacture with a long and well respected history. The business is renowned for product quality, innovation and serves the vast majority of the major multiples. They now seek to recruit site Technical Managers with the potential to progress within the business.
The Roles:
These consumer, product and process focused roles will report to the Relevant Site General Managers, and will be a key part of the Senior Management team.
Your focus will be one of driving continuous improvement, people development, and ensuring product and process quality.
You will take full responsibility for all audit activity (both internal and external), and you will ultimately be responsible for developing the complete Technical strategy for the organisation whilst ensuring effective day to day delivery.
You will have complete accountability for ensuring all Corporate and Legislative Technical Standards and accreditations are adhered to.
Furthermore you will be expected to engender a culture of Safety, Quality and right first time throughout the site through effective management of the technical team, incorporating health safety and environmental and hygiene teams as well as the relevant QA/QC functions.
The Requirements:
This is a challenging remit - where customer satisfaction and continuous improvement are key. Requiring a degree in food technology or a related food discipline, backed by technical management experience gained within a highly responsive food and drink environment (be it branded, own label, chilled, frozen, ingredient, ambient food service or retail).
Able to demonstrate considerable exposure to customers, you should have a genuine passion for food and food quality.
Commercially adept, with good organisational and interpersonal skills, you will also be ready to support and drive a demanding technical agenda which encompasses new product introductions, new production processes and enhancements to delivery of current products.
You are expected to be fully conversant with all corporate and legislative requirements (BRC Higher) applicable to the food industry
