Therese is an experienced recruitment consultant with a successful track record at big name recruitment consultancies. Therese was attracted to Burns Carlton by the open, entrepreneurial culture. Therese bought into the recruitment pedigree of the individuals in the team and was attracted by the prospect of working in an environment that has energy, pace, drive and a professional work ethic.

Simon Carter: Sector Head – Technology Practice

Simon joined Burns Carlton with no recruitment experience, but as an expert in IT security. In fact, he was originally a professional musician, but saw in Burns Carlton an opportunity to develop a career, not just a job. On joining, Simon was given all the support and training he needed to develop the recruitment skills that would complement his IT expertise, and is currently on a Management Training course, receiving further development from Senior Directors.

He is impressed by the way the business looks to an individual’s strengths and builds Training and Development around them, instead of forcing people to conform to a standard approach. In addition he enjoys working in an environment where people are driven to be successful. He has been able share in that success by part taking in the company’s lucrative Share Option scheme. Overall, he feels that the investment in him by the business has really paid off.
