Our client produces ambient branded and private label food products at one of their major sites in East Anglia and they now have a requirement for a Health and Safety Manager to provide site leadership on H&S projects and guidance to the senior management team to maintain statutory compliance and continued safety performance in line with BOTH Group and site KPIs.

The role requires an individual who will be able to implement a cultural change that will enhance behavioural awareness to reduce accidents and near misses; ensure that the site is legally compliant with all relevant legislation and policies and visibly demonstrate correct safety behaviours.

The ideal candidate will currently hold a Health & Safety Managers role within an industrial or manufacturing environment; food manufacture would be a distinct advantage. Ideally Degree qualified or equivalent in OHS, NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent and experienced in PUWER, LOLER, pressurised systems, manual handling and COSHH.

Part of a major group, our client has a reputation of excellence in manufacturing a broad range of quality FMCG products. Following a period of highly positive change and a number of promotions within their UK flagship manufacturing site in Humberside they seek the above key appointment.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, the job holder will be fully accountable for implementing a full programme of change across the maintenance function following a highly positive restructure. This is a blank sheet appointment which will benefit from significant support from The Board and across the Senior Management team, initially managing a team of approximately five.

This is an excellent opportunity to progress you career rapidly in a true leadership and change focused appointment. Successful candidates will possess a maintenance management background from a 'best in class' FMCG (or related) manufacturing environment. Leadership potential, rather than a track record is required, however you will have managed and develop teams and have a hands-on style which has delivered results. The salary potentially available is dependent upon experience and relocation allowance is available if applicable.
