The business is Private Equity backed, has a turnover in excess of £120 million and operates through a branch network covering the whole of the UK. Following a recent re-structure, the business now seeks to recruit a highly experienced Regional Director to maximize the commercial potential of the South East region through the definition and delivery of Best in Class practices through the branch network

The role

The role will report directly to the Executive Team and will be fully accountable for a region encompassing c20 branches across the South East. As Regional Director your primary responsibility is to ensure that each individual branch within your region is profitable, provides excellent customer service and acts within a manner that is HSE focused and consistent with the company brand and values. This will be achieved through effective data capture, financial control and KPI management allowing you to identify areas of under-performance, areas of risk as well as areas of opportunity for the Region and through 1-2-1s and regular face to face reviews with the Branch Managers, identify corrective measures and actions whilst developing Best in Class practices, procedures and policies through enhanced communication.

Ideally of graduate caliber we are looking for an individual who is commercially astute and financially aware, data / KPI driven, possess a high work ethic and has a demonstrable track record in successfully managing a profitable multi-branch operation. In addition we require an inspirational leader who has a natural hands-on style, excellent people skills and genuinely believes in the training and development of people to un-lock potential. The ideal candidate for this role will have had exposure to highly competitive, commodity, cost driven environments and an individual who has the intellectual capacity to challenge current working practices and will not accept second best and therefore capable of delivering Best in Class

  • The Field Service team of approx 140 engineers provides high quality service and maintenance of the companys products in an efficient and professional manner. This is an interesting role that encompasses the repairing, maintenance and preventative maintenance of existing systems plus the installation of some new systems including Fire Alarms.

  • Successful candidates should ideally have an Electrical or Electronic qualification equivalent to an NVQ level 2 or City & Guilds VQ L2 and some experience of servicing and repairing (down to board level) equipment systems such as; Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Door Entry, Access Control, Environmental Monitoring/Control, Fire Detection and Nurse Call.

  • A flexible attitude is pivotal as engineers cover an out of hours standby rota, which does include occasional weekend work. A smart appearance and a helpful and positive disposition are essential in order to ensure complete customer satisfaction.

Leading European Oil Company urgently seeks a highly skilled principle production technologist to join their Stavanger based business. This company are part of a large energy group and have been aggressively growing their E&P business to become one of the key players in the North Sea region. Over the last two years they have hired more than 150 staff and are now looking to add highly skilled senior members to their team.

You will join the Production Technology team which provides a specialist subsurface technical consultancy service in support of the group's E&P activities for the company's portfolio of assets. These assets are in different stages of development from pre-development to late life production. Your role will be as principle production technologist for the Norway office and cover operated and non-operated assets for both development and producing assets. As a principle member of the team you will also take responsibility for mentoring the junior members of the team and coaching them as their career develops.

Key tasks will include:
  • Participate in and contribute with production technology tasks during field development planning.

  • Ensure relevant operational procedures are in place for production start-up and follow-up.

  • Ensure measures concerning well integrity are met and necessary action taken.

  • Participate in well design.

  • Identify, monitor and diagnose production issues.

  • Conduct relevant studies to improve for increasing oil production and better understanding of reservoir.

  • Recommend any measure that will improve production or operate our wells in a more cost efficient way.

  • Review well performance and plan/execute relevant well interventions.

  • Monitor the development of new and evolving technology and investigate its relevance and applicability with the aim of its implementation within the various assets.

  • Act as the focal point problems to specific to production technology advising on resolution or seeking outside support.

  • Maintain links to software vendors to ensure latest software developments are implemented.


Ideal candidates will have proven experience working with an operating company on offshore development projects. Whilst acting as a principle and mentor to junior staff candidates will also have strong hands on technical skills and be capable of solving complex projects when others fail. They should have an engineering degree in a relative discipline and have strong English written and spoken language skills.

Leading European Oil Company urgently seeks a highly skilled Senior Safety Engineering professional to establish a Technical Safety Department for this company's Copenhagen office. This company is rapidly expanding across Europe and has sizeable projects in the Danish, UK and Norwegian North Sea. The company has identified a specific requirement to develop technical safety as a functional department and require a high calibre individual to develop from the ground up and roll out this department for the company.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Provide advice, support and expertise on technical safety engineering, across different operating assets, engineering disciplines and projects.

  • Interface closely with loss prevention and environmental disciplines.

  • Participate in incident investigations and audits.

  • Develop the understanding of technical safety and process safety methodology.

  • Develop technical safety processes and procedures, practises and standards for the company's management system.

  • Be responsible for reviews of technical safety related deliverables from contractors & consultants, including technical tender evaluations.

  • Provide advice at basis of design and initial capital project development phases for all projects.

  • Assist and participate at all project decision gates and technical reviews, to ensure the company's technical tender evaluations.

  • Facilitate/Chair/Audit technical safety reviews, using structured HAZOP's, HAZID's, SIL Assessments and PSSR's.

  • Be responsible for developing and maintaining asset safety cases, performance standards and SCE's.

  • Initiate and review hazard and effect modelling using the bowtie methodology.

  • Initiate and review QRA analyses.

  • Participate in value improvement practices to ensure that technology and associated costs meet project objectives.

  • Ensure technical and reporting requirements are implemented and updated.

  • Attend conferences for knowledge sharing, networking and continuous development.


Ideal candidates will be educated to at least degree level and preferably hold a chartered engineer status. They should have demonstrable experience leading a HSE function through process safety and technical safety engineering experience in offshore oil and gas projects designed to North Sea/Norsok design codes and standards. They should have a broad knowledge of the relevant codes, standards and industrial practices in the North Sea. They should be qualified in facilitating HAZOP's, HAZID's, SIL's and PSSR's.
