Job Title: Managing Director of UK
Job purpose: You will be responsible for managing the UK business. Accountable for strategy execution and attainment of profitability and other financial and business goals specific to the UK business.
You will also be part of Europes Operating Committee and building a sustainable and profitable business with high client and employee satisfaction and engagement. Ensuring all parts of the business are performing and are managed optimally, whether Sales, Services and Solutions, Marketing, or Operations.
You will be meeting agreed targets, client and employee satisfaction, general professionalism, work to achieve operational KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), and ability to work in a team.
Principal Accountabilities
Commercial - Client and partner engagement. Excellent understanding of financial drivers and terms. International trading experience.
Technical - Industry knowledge. Understanding of my clients Technology offerings and market environment.
Leadership - Meet deadlines and targets set. This includes exhibiting the commitment to achieve business goals and a willingness to go the extra mile if the situation demands it. You will have an ability to execute and own the plan. Clear decision- making. High energy. Great consistency. High integrity.
Ability to analyse the situation quickly and take appropriate action promptly with buy-in.
Drive process compliance and implement processes and procedure that ensure the effective-ness of the team and support the search for excellence philosophy.
Support, drive and own organisational change. Ability to manage upward and downward successfully. Ability to gain trust quickly and sustainably. Able to build relationships across borders. Exceptional Negotiating skills.
Engage at different levels and different stakeholders, both internally and externally. Motivate direct team to lead by example. Engage the entire UK employee base effectively in order to drive high job satisfaction, performance, and productivity.
Show commitment to working as part of a team, maintain a positive outlook, and foster a posi-tive environment within the team. Take accountability for moral and employee engagement.Operating Environment- The UK business is composed of Advanced Infrastructure and Networking Services.
The UK business is the largest contributor within my clients European Region and in the closest proximity of the Group in terms of analysts and shareholders. My client is a globally public company listed on both the LSE and JSE. My client is tightly linked to its partners, including Cisco and Microsoft.
Framework & Boundaries - Adherence to the authority matrix, operating standards, processes and policies as laid down by the company.
Active interaction with EU Executive team, other Country MDs, Global and Regional stakeholders
